What is Sticky-Icky?

You know how most bars either look a little glossy (like they’re coated with a syrup), pull apart slowly when you bite them, or get totally stuck in your teeth? That’s what we refer to as sticky-icky—and it’s a super obvious indicator that your bar uses sugary binders such as date paste, cane syrup, or brown rice syrup to hold its ingredients together. And anytime sugar is used as a binder, that means you’re ingesting way too much of the stuff!
